Prestressed Concrete
We SCON INFRASTRUCTURE are Leading Manufacturers, Suppliers, Providers, Contractors and Services of Prestressed Concrete. The term "prestressed concrete" refers to a type of concrete that is utilized in a building. During manufacture, it is "prestressed" (compressed) in a way that reinforces it against tensile pressures that will occur in service. This compression is achieved by tensioning high-strength "tendons" within or next to the concrete in order to increase the concrete's performance in service. Tendons are often composed of high-tensile steels, carbon fiber, or aramid fiber and are formed up of single wires, multi-wire strands, or threaded bars. When prestressed concrete is subjected to subsequent compression stresses, it has the properties of high-strength concrete, and when subjected to tension forces, it has the characteristics of ductile high-strength steel. When compared to conventionally reinforced concrete, this can result in increased structural capacity and/or serviceability in a variety of circumstances.
Internal stresses are introduced in a prestressed concrete member in a predetermined manner to counterbalance the stresses caused by superimposed loads to the required degree. When compared to ordinary reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete allows for greater spans, lower structural thicknesses, and material savings in a variety of architectural and civil projects. High-rise buildings, residential slabs, foundation systems, bridge and dam structures, silos and tanks, industrial pavements, and nuclear containment structures are all examples of typical uses. We SCON INFRASTRUCTURE are deeply engaged in offering a wide array of Prestressed Concrete to our valuable Clients located in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, and all over India.
